We do offer comprehensive and thorough diabetic foot evaluation and recommendations for complication prevention. While we do treat ingrown toenails, we do not offer regular diabetic or nondiabetic nail cutting services.

WHAT TO EXPECT

  1. Bring your insurance card, photo ID, a list of your current medications, and any recent lab work or records from the provider who manages your diabetes.
  2. Bring the shoes and socks you wear most often, along with any inserts or diabetic shoes you already have.
  3. A typical evaluation includes reviewing your medical history and diabetes management, and examining the skin and nails of both feet.
  4. Checking sensation and circulation in the feet is a standard part of a diabetic foot evaluation, and further testing or referral may be recommended if it is indicated.
  5. Dr. Storts provides recommendations for complication prevention. While we do treat ingrown toenails, we do not offer regular diabetic or nondiabetic nail cutting services.
